LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Middle blocker Megan Hart was selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Midwest All-Region Team, the AVCA announced Tuesday. "We are all very proud of Megan, she has had a tremendous senior season," said head coach Mike Jordan. "Her hard work has definitely payed off and she is very deserving of this honor." Hart was voted to the 14-player Midwest All-Region Team by coaches who are AVCA members. She is the first Aggie since Gwen Murphy in 2015 to be named to the All-Region team. Kassandra Tohm was named an All-Region Honorable Mention in 2017. Hart, the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year, led the team in hitting percentage (.382) while taking 589 swings with 300 kills. Her hitting percentage ranked second in the WAC while her 1.03 blocks per set ranked 5th and her 3.40 points per set ranked 8th. The Kelowna, B.C., Canada, native also earned her second-consecutive WAC tournament MVP honor as the Aggies swept UVU and Grand Canyon on the way to an NCAA Tournament Appearance. The redshirt senior finishes her career with a number of entries the Aggie record books. She ranks 6th in total blocks (395), 6th in block assists (345) and wrapped up her career as NM State's all-time leader in hitting percentage (.359).
